DAURA, THE TASTE OF A REAL BEER
Damm Master Brewers and the gluten department of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) gave great news to the world. Together, they developed one of the first crafted to remove gluten beers.
Daura maintains the flavour of real beer as it is made with the same main ingredient: barley malt.
ENZYMATIC HYDROLYZATION PROCESS
Gluten is a protein. During the manufacturing phase, the chain of gluten is broken through a process of enzymatic hydrolyzation and protein precipitation, obtaining a final product that is suitable for celiacs.

We guarantee less than 20ppm: each batch is analyzed and certified by the CSIC using the R5 Competitive ELISA test before hitting the market. This way, we ensure that its gluten content is always below 20ppm*.
* The Codex Alimentarius considers a product with less than 20 ppm suitable for coeliacs.
WHY CAN’T WE LABEL IT AS GLUTEN FREE IN THE USA?
The FDA mandates that anything noted as gluten free cannot have wheat, rye or barley. We brew all Daura beers with the traditional beer ingredients and gluten is removed by enzymatic hydrolysis.
So, even though we take quality and consistency very seriously when it comes to our products and meet the “gluten free” threshold as designated by the FDA — because of our ingredients we are classified as “crafted to remove gluten”.

Daura is a golden colour with shades of amber and slight hints of green. It is clean and sparkling. The head is cream-coloured and long lasting. The abundant bubbles are delicate and lively. The generous aroma is of fresh spices.

A very hoppy beer, intensely bitter with notes of fresh citrus and ripe fruit. With pale, light-coloured malts which are dried and roasted at a low temperature. A beer that pairs perfectly with strong & intense meals.

Daura Non-Alcoholic is a clear amber beer with golden highlights, fine bubbles, and a light foam. It has an intense, clean aroma led by hops and floral notes. The delicate flavor recalls cereals and toasted hints, with a smooth texture and balanced bitterness. Best served between 4°C and 6°C.
